ABOUT JUBER
Many Jews have quite a poor understanding of their own heritage. If they went to Hebrew school as a kid,
outside of learning a drop of Hebrew, some history of the Holocaust, and some basic Jewish tenets like the Shma,
that was about it. And, often, the bar/bat mitzvah signaled the end of further Jewish involvement.
Given this reality, some young Jews might never have had the opportunity to explore their Judaism in the same depth as their
school and college studies.
So how can the average Jew really learn about and understand his or her own lofty
heritage?
It's easy: Juber.
By signing up for the Juber program you get the chance to spend some personal time with a Jewish educator to discuss these—
and many other — questions and topics of your choosing:
✔What is the Jewish conception of God? Do Jews believe in an afterlife? Is there heaven and hell?
✔What are traditional Jewish values? What does Judaism say about relationships, love, parenting?
✔What is Jewish spirituality? What does Judaism say about the purpose of my life?
✔In a very confusing world with values and ideas that are in free fall, can Judaism provide an anchor for me to
feel secure about my path in life?
Fortunately, for thousands of years, our people have had this anchor; we have had a pervasive system of beliefs
and actions that have molded us and shaped our thinking. The wisdom and teachings in our Torah, our Talmud, and in the
thousands of books of ethics, philosophy, mysticism and law, have been our guide in life and have provided great happiness
and fulfillment. By signing up to learn one (or more!) of these topics, you too, can benefit.
Juber is an opportunity for you to tap
into some of this wisdom.
Not only will you become more literate of your past, but you will become more inspired and gain deeper pride
for who you are and where you come from. Have any questions? Visit out
